About Shalom School | Vision
Religious Policies and Procedures
The best way to learn about Judaism is to live Jewishly. The School environment provides students with this opportunity. Students at Shalom School come from different backgrounds. Our staff is always very sensitive about references and judgment regarding observance, conversion and intermarriage.
Kashrut:
When the School provides food for its students, the food is kosher, usually dairy or parve. If you wish to provide snacks for your child's class, the food must be vegetarian or dairy and have kosher markings on it. Whole fresh fruits and vegetables (uncut) are also permissible. For more information on acceptable kashrut symbols, please ask in the Shalom School office.
Students may bring personal snacks and lunches that are vegetarian or dairy. No kosher markings are required. Students may not bring meat onto campus. Mission Statement
