Accreditation
Shalom School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an accrediting organization for public and private schools. During their last visit, the evaluating team left Shalom School stating we were the best school that they have visited in 25 years. The experienced team members left the school with some recommendations which they said should "guide an excellent school to be even more amazing." Some of their comments include:
"Shalom School is a comfortable, loving, warm school. It is a family without trying to be a family. It just happens."
"If I had a hat on right now, I would take it off to you. You guys are fabulous. This is an amazing place."
"I am glad that G-d has prevented me from having another child because I would be tempted to have one just to send him/her to Shalom School."
Commendations were many, and included:
"There is an emphasis on being a good person. Being kind, considerate, cooperative, both collaborative and independent. The children work in groups. All of this is done so well."
"Hebrew and Jewishness are incorporated into all of the curriculum and daily life."
"You should thank your faculty for going above and beyond and for their openness to explore different methods of teaching."
"The kids are learning at levels above and beyond what we could dream of."
