Scholarship Program
As Sacramento's only Jewish Day School we are committed to providing a quality Jewish education for every child in our community. However, the cost of a Jewish education has been rising and the demands for scholarship have been growing. Some families have difficulty affording the tuition. This has been proven by the increase in the number of applicants for scholarships that we receive each year. Shalom School has been diligently taking strides to improve our scholarship program.
What you may expect from the Shalom School Scholarship Program:
- No scholarship grant will be considered if there is any outstanding Shalom School account balance.
- No scholarship grant will be awarded higher than 50% of the current tuition. Under extreme circumstances the school will consider a grant up to 80%.
- First year applicants to the scholarship program may be awarded a scholarship grant up to a maximum of 25% of the tuition unless there are extreme circumstances.
- Shalom School would like all scholarship recipients to donate their time to help the school where and when they can over the required 35 hours of parent participation. This helps offset the tuition not being received. Scholarship grants are for tuition only and do not include childcare or any other school related fees.
- Scholarship grants are evaluated on a year-by-year basis. Applicants are not guaranteed the same amount as the prior year.
- For returning students, if you do not apply for scholarship by the deadline, you will not be considered.
Scholarship Program Application Process:
