Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in Shalom School. As you consider the options for childcare and educational settings, we would encourage you to visit our state-of-the-art campus to see first-hand, our excellent staff, programs, and facilities.

Shalom School began nurturing and educating children in 1978, and has developed a superior program for infants as young as three months, through sixth grade. We offer the unique opportunity for your child(ren) to grow intellectually and creatively, develop confident social skills, and foster positive feelings about their Jewish identity within a safe and nurturing environment.

Our superior teachers and staff are committed to the ideals of academic excellence, personal growth, social awareness, and Jewish/American values. Specialists in Judaic Studies, Hebrew, library, computers, music, drama and physical education present students with extraordinary opportunitites to develop and expand their individual strengths and interests.

Standardized test scores consistently put Shalom School students in the 92-98 percentile of students across the nation. Shalom students score higher in national testing than students in public schools, public suburban schools, other community day schools and private schools. Shalom students are extremely well prepared for middle school and the vast majority of graduates qualify and are accepted into accelerated learning programs at Arden, Churchill, and Sutter middle schools. Many of our students are accomplished musicians and have participated in band and orchestra in middle and high school and/or have been invoved with the Sacramento Youth Orchestra. Our children truly love to learn!

Our alumni enter prestigeous colleges such as Cornell, Princeton, Harvard, Tulane, Northwestern, Brown, NYU, UC Berkeley and UCLA to name a few. Jason Kamras '85 has the distinction of being selected as National Teacher of the Year in 2005.

Thank you for visiting our website. We encourage you to call for a tour of our campus.  20
